Silver Jubilee gathering for V&O programme

A quarter-century of viticulture and oenology teaching at Lincoln University was celebrated with a reunion held in Blenheim on 27 August during the 2014 New Zealand Winegrowers Romeo Bragato National Conference.

Around 40 alumni and former staff members attended the informal gathering in Blenheim’s Scenic Hotel organised by Dr Glen Creasy of Lincoln University’s Department of Wine, Food and Molecular Biosciences.

Among the alumni present was Dr Paul Petrie, now National Viticulturist and Vintrepreneur with Treasury Wine Estates, South Australia, while former staff members included Dr David Heatherbell, Graeme Steans, and Dr Mike Trought.

Old class photos, taken along for the gathering by Dr Creasy, were a popular focus of interest with those attending.
