Office visitors confirm alumni connections are global

A recent visitor from SE Asia was alumnus Leow Chow Ching of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, who

brought his wife, children and grandchildren to visit the campus where he had been a student in the early 1970s.

Mr Leow has made five visits back to New Zealand since his student days, but he had not brought his children here before. His last visit was in 2002 for the Parks, Recreation and Tourism course’s 30th anniversary reunion.

He has happy memories of his time at Lincoln and he remembers many friends such as senior lecturer John Taylor, who established New Zealand’s first course in park and recreation administration at Lincoln, and classmate Christopher (Kit) Howden. He was delighted to see again a 2002 edition of the Lincoln University Alumni News magazine featuring himself, John Taylor, Dr Pat Devlin and Kit Howden, on the cover.
