Lincoln Alumni (Melbourne Branch) Annual Dinner

On behalf of the Lincoln and Massey Old Students Association, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the Annual Dinner.

Friday 4 November 2016

6.30pm for a 7.00pm start

Club Ringwood - Private function Room
523 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood

Guest Speakers:

Michael Pointer
“Opportunities for Australian Agriculture & Adopting a Future Vision”

Michael Pointer spent most of my life in agribusiness, exporting primary produce to countries around the world. While owning a farm in North East Victoria Michael also bred and raised Angus Cattle and in the process founded and marketed Certified Australian Angus Beef. As a consequence Angus beef is now available in many Australian restaurants and butcher shops; not to mention McDonalds. As a “Senior Australian” Michael is still Executive Director of the Australian Association of Psychologists and whilst he doesn’t live on a farm any more, he remains “grounded” by volunteering each week with Ardoch Youth Foundation at the Dinjeera Primary School in Braybrook. Michael has been awarded life membership of the Angus Society of Australia and the Australian China Business Council. In 2008 he was honoured by the President of France with the rank of Chevalier De L'Ordre National Du Mérite for his work in sustaining the sheepskin business in Mazamet and in 2012 he receive the Merial Howard Yelland Beef Industry Award in recognition of his leadership in developing and promoting branded Australian beef to a domestic and global food market.
